World Series Revised

I think the Angels have stole the Red Sox's thunder as far as a team that can go to the world series, the freaking Angels pick up Mark Texeira, wow, i mean he is awesome he just played for Atlanta, who are a bunch of scrub-a-doo's this year and maybe for a couple to come, anyway, i think if John Lackey and that pitching staff can stay together as a staff and more importantly teammates, that staff and there defense will differently help them get to the world series, now that Texeria will be hitting either in front of or behind Vlad Guerrero, there is a big 1-2 punch to help, take them all the way, the team just doesn't have one great player, but they have a bunch of aggressive good players, and that wins championships, this team is the real deal, and so is the angels on taken the American League to the world series

The freakin St. Louis Rams

I don't get it, it seems to me that the St. Louis Rams is sending the team down the river with no paddles. I recently just looked at there depth chart and defense looks OK, i think the addition of Chris Long will help with ever draft pick, you got the what if thought. What if he doesn't perform like he did in college or what if he has worked to hard in the off season and injury's himself. I think he'll be fine i just don't hold any water with anyone that hasn't proved themselves in the big time. he was stellar in college but college and the pro's is 2 different things. The whole Issac Bruce release kinda has me upset. I know it happened a while back, but it still gets under my skin, the man as a #2 receiver last year still had a pretty decent year. And i just don't know if Drew Bennett is ready to fill that void, i hope he is, cause Marc Bulger is going to have to throw alot to him cause of 2 things, our slot spot in Dane Looker has yet to really step up to that next level like lets say a Wes Welker did even when he played in Miami, then really stepped it up in New England. But there was a lot of different things that factor into Welker being a stud at New England, and the second thing is that Torry Holt will be double teamed at least 40 to 50% of the time he is on the field. I just hope this offensive line can hold up for Bulger especially on his blind side, the receiving core is what I'm worried about most, other than Torry Holt that is, he'll get his.

The defense for once, looks OK. I don't really have to much to say about the defense, other than i really am anticipating to see how Chris Long will play out, i think he'll be OK but you never know until he plays, the thing i like most about the defense is 3 things, our linebackers, all three of them are above average LB's. Pisa Tinoisamoa turned out to be a very good linebacker, good eyes, follows the ball really well, explodes well when on a blitz, and has pretty decent hands for LB. Will Witherspoon has been very stable, he has above average skills and can get to the ball pretty fast when playing in a 3-4 defense. Quinton Culberson, i didn't know too much about him till i looked him up, he played in 42 games started 36 of them and had over 125 tackles, and almost 15 tackles for loss and 2 sacks, sounds like to me he has a little corner back in him with 125 tackles in 42 games, i think he might pan out to be a pretty good linebacker, but those stats are from when he played at Mississippi State so like i said he will have to prove himself. One more thing the front 4 n defense La' Roi Glover, Adam Carriker, Chris Long, Leronard Little should be a pretty strong lineup to take on any offensive line that any team has to throw there way. i will say that i think the rams are still rebuilding and it will take the rams maybe 2-3 years to get back before Mikey Martz destroyed the team, i will also say i think the rams will break even .500 ball this year and ill set them up for a 8-8 record this year, have a good one people.

The Favre Debockle

I'm going to attempt to take on the Brett Favre situation. When i first started hearing about him wanting to come back and that the Green Bay Packers weren't going to grant him release, i kinda thought man that sucks for Favre. But after reading the Packers press release, and hearing Favre's side of the story, on Greta van Sustren i have come to the conclusion that Brett Favre should show up to training camp, and he should play his heart out. Cause here is the way i look at it, Favre has the chance to make the Packers look stupid without it coming back on his legacy. The Packers have said they are committed to Aaron Rodgers starting, so Favre should come into mini-camp and just simply show him up. He still has what it takes to compete at a NFL level, come on the guy had a 66 percent completion percentage last year with 4100 yards and 28 TD's, the man can still play. So he should simply go into Packers mini-camp and show up everyone there, there would be such a media circus about his ability to start games and not hold the clipboard and wear the head set, that the Packers would be stupid not to do something that would have to go Favre's way in the means that they may release him from mini-camp, or heck even trade him, or make him starting quarterback, but i think that's not likely but possible. Brett Favre has the Green Bay Packers in a precarious situation, if Favre plays it smart and makes good decisions, he can come out on top and make the best of a messed up situation.

I also think Brett came into the whole deal not wanting this to happen in a sense, i think Green Bay thought they had Brett by the Groin, in the sense that the media coverage would go there way, obviously not. The whole Greta interview was obviously set-up as far as the questions go to play to Brett's feelings, which is smart to do it makes Brett a media darling, and God knows if you got the media on your side, you have a good chance at winning the fight. I'm really curious to see how things play out from here with Brett Favre, cause the man is at least the 3rd best QB of all-time if not 1st or 2nd. I really dont want to see his leagacy on the line, and to a extent i really dont think that it is. So with that said have a good one people.

The Second Half for Baseball

Ok, this is my first one so bear with me. With one of the best All-star games i have seen in a while, i must say that i think there will be some super games this late summer and fall. With that said i also think we may see some trades but nothing super big because those have already happened. Its kinda nice to see something happen before the all-star game, it doesnt happen very often in terms of a big trade going down before the all-star game and we had 2 pretty big one's, the Brewers getting C.C. Sabbathia, and the Cubs getting Rich Hardin and Chad Gaudin. I think the Cardinals will need to do something, in order to compete but with Carpenter and Wainwright coming back may be all we need. But it would nice to get something to take the place of Mark Mulder. I may have to do a whole blog on him cause i got my opinions on him but not now, but what im bout to do is make my predictions for the Fall Classic. Based on nothing more than how all teams played during the first half, for the National League, i freakin hate to say this, but im going with the Cubs, Im going to predict that Rich Hardin(who was aquiared from the Oakland Athletics) will only miss maybe 1 or 2 starts the second half, and Zambrano should get at least 18 wins along with Dempster, and Kerry Wood closing games, and Marmol setting him up, there staff is a cant miss. The offenese should carry them to a World Series, with Fukedome, Ramirez, Soto, and Derrek Lee the team is loaded with studs. For the American League, im going with Boston. They are just to freakin good at home, with the American League winning the All-Star game, home field advantage goes to the American League, Jon lester, Dice K, Josh Beckett, Papelbon, and sturdy bulllpen, the staff is really good, and then the offense, hahah ohh man, Ramirez, Manny that is, David Ortiz, Jacoby Ellsbury, J.D. Drew, Kevin Youkillis, and Mike Lowell. The team is good really good. So here is my winner for the 2008 Fall Classic, The Boston Red Sox will beat the Chicago Cubs 4 games to 1, lets go ahead with the MVP of the World Series, and il throw out a name, i gotta go with Manny Ramirez, he's to clutch not to be considered, so with that being said, i hope you all like my blog, and this will try to be a every night thing, stay tuned for more opinion's on todays sports issue's, thanks for the time, and remember lightning produces 1.21 jiggywatts
