Paul Konerko said this," there are only two ways this becomes a story."
"Put your name behind it," Konerko said before Wednesday's game against the Chicago Cubs. "Put your face out there and tell people who you are. Or, Sammy's going to admit to it and that's what happened in the Alex Rodriguez thing."
Konerko doesn't think it should be made public.
"When two sides sign a contract, usually you try to uphold it," he said.
That's my second point, I think they should be made public, now that a few names have been made public. For this reason, what if there isn't a Albert Pujols or a Ken Griffey Jr., Derek Jeter, Jim Thome, Chipper Jones on that list. Those names most assured would be in the Hall of Fame, and what way better to sorta clear those names by allowing this list to come to light so we find out which great baseball names are free and clear of PED's. That's all i want, i want to know who hasn't tested positive for steroids, I'm more interested in that then the people who cheat.
I would not be surprised if Konerko's fake outrage doesn't prompt someone to find out if he is on that list. I think within the next months we will find out more names and just like i said in a previous blog entry, They will slowly keep releasing names to throw the people a bone to chew on for a while.
