Everybody must sacrifice a little bit in order to coexist together.

Paul Konerko = Fake

Paul Konerko recently came out and said how upset he was about Sammy Sosa being on that 2003 list of players names that tested positive for PED's. I kinda got 2 takes on this, for one the names shouldn't have been released at all, them players were told that they would not be released and that they wouldn't get in trouble. Even though A-Rod did not get in trouble it did hurt his name a little with the media circus he and well the media put us through. I think at the end of the day A-Rod is cool and nothing will be thought of this for the most part when his career is over.

Paul Konerko said this," there are only two ways this becomes a story."

"Put your name behind it," Konerko said before Wednesday's game against the Chicago Cubs. "Put your face out there and tell people who you are. Or, Sammy's going to admit to it and that's what happened in the Alex Rodriguez thing."

Konerko doesn't think it should be made public.

"When two sides sign a contract, usually you try to uphold it," he said.

That's my second point, I think they should be made public, now that a few names have been made public. For this reason, what if there isn't a Albert Pujols or a Ken Griffey Jr., Derek Jeter, Jim Thome, Chipper Jones on that list. Those names most assured would be in the Hall of Fame, and what way better to sorta clear those names by allowing this list to come to light so we find out which great baseball names are free and clear of PED's. That's all i want, i want to know who hasn't tested positive for steroids, I'm more interested in that then the people who cheat.

I would not be surprised if Konerko's fake outrage doesn't prompt someone to find out if he is on that list. I think within the next months we will find out more names and just like i said in a previous blog entry, They will slowly keep releasing names to throw the people a bone to chew on for a while.

The Machine

I know this came out a while ago, but i absolutely love this commercial for some reason, whether it be Alberts, real non shalant reaction to the ESPN guys or if it is the voice of Kit from Knight Rider as the printer i find it funny, but it is probably my love for Albert Pujols and the St. Louis Cardinals.

Coolest pitch I've ever seen

I dont know if anyone has ever seen this but it is Kaz Tadano's eepheus pitch. Talk about cant get your timing down when facing this guy he throws a 45 mph eepheus pitch then a 75 mph slider, and then might bust a 88 mph fastball. NO THANKS, just ridiculous

Why oh Why?

Why on Gods great green earth is America being overtaken by people who don't even listen to what we have to say. And guess what its not just one party, its both Republicans and Democrats. They are both selling us down the river, for nothing more than power and please the party they are a part of. They don't care about the average Black, White, Asian, Mexican, Indian, Chinese, Vietnamese person working in this country. All they want is our tax dollars to spend, spend, spend. Even though they're raising the national debt, and the deficit under Obama and Bush before him faster than any president ever in history. They want your vote then they get in and they do what they want. Oh sure they may throw some money your way in the form of pork barrel spending to get certain projects to your town or county, and then they say, see here i brought the community money to further the development on your city or where ever you live. What a LOAD of Crap. Like i said they are out for 2 things.

1. Work for the party they are affiliated with, and to further the agenda of the establishment, and not their constituents, doing the bidding of special interest to keep themselves in power for more than a term or two.

2. These weasels get a sense or power and pride when they think they have us in their pockets, they think they will never leave that particular office(other than president, they kinda have to after 8 years)if they keep feeding the lines of crap that are shoved down our throats daily. Its all a big bunch of Lie's people.

And its up to us to change it. We can no longer sit back and listen to our Ipods 24 hours a day and get lost on our cell phones or on the computer or watching TV thinking that nothing going to happen to us. Because it already is happening to us, just look at the news, these morons at certain news outlets are praising Barrack Obama for killing a fly today, saying how smooth he is and rainbows appear around him when he speaks and all this typical liberal spin. And its just not the liberals.

The republicans are just as much to blame allowing big oil to screw us in the rear end with gas prices, bringing us prescription drugs(thank you Bushy). Not passing laws to protect us against what democrats did to Fannie May and Freddie Mac, by telling them to give people loans when they knew the bank knew, that them people that were loaned the money, that they could not repay the mortgage on the house.

Both are at fault for the mess we are in, put down the games and Ipods and start reading whats going on in our world, don't sit back and just wait for another election cycle and then get some what involved, it is our patriotic duty to keep these people accountable. And when one of them screws up and doesn't do what there constituents in there county or district or state what they need and deserve, they need to be kicked out of office to using our trust for political purposes.

It is time to start paying attention and getting our heads screwed on straight other wise it will be too late and we will not get our country back. Rise up and call you Representative or Senator and tell them to start doing the job they were elected to do, and that's the will of the people that voted that person in. It is time to rise up and take our country back and get it back to how our founders intended by getting back to the Constitution of the United States. I got news for all you Schmucks who claim to do the will of the people who voted you in, you will not be in office anymore if you do not clean your act up and do what is right. GET IT DONE!

Steroids(whoop dee doo)

Well well well, i think Queen made a song about this, OH yea Another One Bites The Dust. Good song but it has been said after many people have failed.

Manny Ramirez goes down after many before him. Its not real surprising, i actually thought it would come earlier than it did. He gets a 50 game suspension(starting tommorow) for his taking of all things a women's fertility drug. But its why he took it.

Many have speculated only on the first day of this coming to light that he took this as a way to restart or kick start if you will his own bodily production of, testosterone, because the steroids he supposedly took gave him his need for testosterone and his body didn't produce as much, but once he finished his cycle of roids he had to take something to restart his own production of testosterone, so with that said he popped a positive test for HCG.

By all means this is a women's fertility drug. But i guess athletes have been reported to take this at times to do exactly what i said a few sentences ago. But like i posted on message board in one of my fantasy leagues I'm in.
So who's next Albert Pujols, Ken Griffey Jr., David Ortiz, Derek Jeter, its just a matter of time, and to be honest i would like to not see another name come out and i personally hope it isn't Albert Pujols because I'm a big Cardinals fan.

But as this point i think we have to be a little on the realistic side and say, there will be more names, I'm sure of it, its just a matter of time before the media gets another bone to chew on for a while.

The Return of Boxing?

Let me start of by saying I'm sorry to the, well one person who follows my blog which is probably my brother for not keeping up with it like i said i would, ill try my best. But I wanna talk about a subject that I'm starting to get more and more excited about, good old fashioned boxing, that's right boxing. And not just The Heavyweight Division, because believe it or not, the heavyweights aren't the story this go around. Let me explain why i think boxing will make a comeback, some of the fighters that are making a name for themselves, and why the heavyweight division killed boxing back in the middle to late 90's.

I'm kinda stealing this a little from a guy named Jeremy Poplin, who is a sports radio personality, for 1430 The Buzz in Tulsa, OK along side Chris Plank on The Big show. Simply put people love to see other people pummel each other till there is a victor. Along side MMA, people hurting other people for some reason is a major attraction for our human race. And it stretches across all continents. Boxing is what gave MMA such a big platform to begin in the first place, in my opinion i like boxing a bit more than MMA because they don't go down to the ground at all other than when they get their clock cleaned. Granted i like MMA also because it is a little different from boxing in the fact that they do go down to the ground if they like, but its kinda like comparing apples to oranges, but somewhere the oranges used to be apples but have transformed into apples, do, um you understand what i just said if you do you know what I'm talking about, Anyway boxing is something everyone can talk about, it stretches across different races, cultures, ethnicity's. It is a world sport and personally i like the different styles of boxing, if you aren't familiar with the styles go to this website http://boxingbeginners.com/how_to_box_styles.php . But basically i love boxing again because i got brought back into to it at a time a couple months ago when boxing was grabbing headlines again and bringing itself to the fore front of sports again, and it did so even more with the annihilation of Ricky Hatton, at the hands of super fast Manny Pacquio, a guy I'm bout to fill you in on.

Manny Pacquio 49-3-2 is a native of the Philippines born in 1978. He currently holds the IBO and Ring Magazine Light Welterweight titles. He beat the living crap out of Rickey Hatton in the 2ND round for a K.O. He has also beat Oscar De La Hoya, Erik Morales, and a host of other fighters, These are the belts he holds or has held in his career just to name a few,
  • WBC world flyweight champion
  • IBF world super bantamweight champion
  • WBC world super featherweight champion
  • WBC world lightweight champion
The Ring Magazine titles:
  • World featherweight champion
  • World super featherweight champion
  • World light welterweight champion
these are some his most recent recognitions

He can fight obviously.

http://www.lasvegassun.com/news/2009/may/02/mayweather-boasts-boxings-best-back/

Take a look at the article i linked right above and another one is Floyd Mayweather Jr. Floyd Mayweather Jr. is 39-0 and on May 1, 2009, it was confirmed that Mayweather is coming out of a 16-month retirement to fight Juan Manuel Marquez on July 18 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. He has basically held every title between the WBC Super featherweight Belt to the Super Welterweight Title, I personally don't like Floyd because he is to flashy and me me kinda attitude, but he can fight although he has received some criticism that he is stating to lose some of the speed in his hands and his side to side movements, although he could probably still clean my clock if he wanted so im not taking to much from him.

Another guy who although is getting up there in age, is Vernon Forrest a guy i personally like, he currently holds a 41 and 3 record, and became a boxing name by beating Shane Mosley for a bid to go to the Olympics in 1992(is this crazy or not, but 1992 was almost 20 years ago), and also he compiled a 225-16 record as a amateur before making a name for hiself by beating Shane Mosley, um yea that's a lot of fighting. He is 38 and losing a bit a speed but Vernon Forrest (41-3) reclaimed his WBC 154-pound title on September 14, 2008, against Sergio Mora via unanimous decision, the judges score were 118-109, 117-110, and 119-110. He can still fight, and will fight i suppose until his hands fall off or he gets his head rolled off his shoulders. On to the years of boxing that almost took it to its knee's.

Some of the big names and promoters in boxing back in the late 80's and early 90's were making a lot of money in my opinion off of the what i like to call Super Fight Phase. Year after year, Don King and other promoters put fighters like Evander Holyfield, Buster Douglas, Mike Tyson, George Foreman, Lennox Lewis, Riddick Bowe, David Tua, (Do you know what they have in common, they are all Heavyweights. These guys who make a living off of a sport a lot of people love,)up agaisnt each other and it almost seemed that they were paraded in front of us like they were the best thing ever, and guess what, they were at that time. That type of stuff dies eventually but the sport itself will not. I call it a Fad, there are a lot of good boxers out there that were heavyweights, that i think to a extent were used because it at the time was the thing to do and watch, do you remember how many people were getting together to watch fights, or putting money together to buy the PPV. I remember as a kid in the late 80's seeing people in my family get together to see a big time Heavyweight Bout between someone huge and someone that was either huge or was on the cusp of being a big time player in boxing, but then Mike Tyson lost his marbles and bite off Holyfields ear, and Tommy Morrison got AIDS supposedly, and a couple of fighters tried to come out of retirement to help save the heavyweight division but i think it was too late. The whole heavyweight phase of boxing was only going to continue as long as the ones that were currently a part of it could carry it, and eventually people got old and tired and couldn't carry it anymore, and it for the most part has sort of went away in the past OH lets say 5 to 9 years. its a shame because there are a lot of good heavyweights out there as well right now trying to make a name for themselves, they just don't get a lot of media coverage from any of the major media outlets for that matter.

But boxing as a whole has not and will not die, there are too many interests and too much money floating around for it to disappear, and like i said before boxing wont die for this reason, its like chess but with humans and there are no kings, queens, and bishops. Just uppercuts, jab, and right hooks. Everyone that watches this give boxing a chance, check out a PPV or even some Friday night fights on i believe ESPN can be very entertaining. Give it a chance there is too much talent out there for it not to make a comeback. I promise you wont be let down as long as you look for a good fight to watch, they are getting more and more common.

Welcome to Socialism

Well, well ,well, here comes a big ol heaping helping of good ol' socialism. MMM, taste that yummy goodness. Why on Gods great green earth are we passing the biggest earmarked bill in the united states history. The whole bill is a earmark, its all about spending our way back to a healthy economy, really? Tax Cuts my left foot. The only thing we have heard is that everyone under 135,000 to 150,000 per couple per year will receive a extra 12 to 15 bucks a week on our paychecks. But here is my question, is the IRS going to bring the actual tax owed for a year down so that we are not paying that 400 per person back at the beginning of next year, if they don't then its really just a zero percent interest loan.

Then they say we are setting up a website to let you know how we are spending your money. "Federal building conversion to "high-performance green buildings." How in the hell does this stimulate the economy, the price for this 4.5 billion dollars. Come on people i don't have a problem putting some money into the economy, but spending money on this when we are supposed to be "STIMULATING THE ECONOMY." Next "National Institutes of Health fund to support scientific research. " That's in there too. 7.4 billion, we are giving this money to scientists to research mice growing cancer cells on there back, to see if it will be cured with the sap of a 4 leafed mukinfuch plant from south Indonesia. 650 million dollars for those dumb coupons to get a digital converter box, yep that stimulates alot.

Also turns out that they are saying that they will not nationalize banks. Kinda true, but not really. Taking a stake in banks who have crapped out because they cant figure out who to give loans to or not. Yeah that's nationalization of banks of a short term likeness.

OH yea and one more thing Mr. President Obama announced today, over the next 10 years he wants to save almost 700 billion dollars for national health care. Hmm, we gotta save money and not make government big and cut our budget by half in 3 years but we gotta do some stuff first, national health care for everyone in the USA, give banks alot of money to do nothing with. Give alot of people a tax cut when most of them don't pay taxes anyway(you may pay lets say 2000 dollars a year but when you file you receive 4000 back from the government because you have kids, then sorry but you don't pay taxes). And we got to spend 700 billion dollars to stimulate the economy, when really only about 350 billion of that will do anything that has to do with bringing the economy back from a recession, give me a break. If you want socialism just ask us and well give you a answer.
